2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use HireReady AI:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your actual password)
- Resume content: Files or text you upload for AI tailoring. These are processed in real time and not stored permanently on our servers
- Job application data: Jobs you save, track, and notes you add in the Application Tracker
- Usage data: How many resume tailoring sessions and applications you use each day, to enforce plan limits
- Payment information: Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve our job search and AI resume tailoring service
- Send account verification and welcome emails
- Process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
- Enforce daily usage limits on free plan accounts
- Respond to support requests
We do not use your resume content or job search data to train AI models. Your resume data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
4. Third-Party Services
HireReady AI uses the following third-party services:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data: stripe.com/privacy
- Anthropic Claude API — AI resume tailoring and cover letter generation
- Adzuna / JSearch — Job search APIs that provide job listings
- SendGrid — Email delivery for verification and welcome emails
- Supabase — Secure cloud database hosting
- Railway — Application hosting
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt encryption and are never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.
Resume files you upload are processed in memory for AI analysis and are not permanently stored on our servers.
6. Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in while you use HireReady AI. These are essential cookies required for the service to function. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your application tracker data
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time

8. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
